I believe animals make life a little sweeter. And how truly sweet those moments are when we are snuggled close, enjoying each other’s presence and the love we share with our animals!
Animals have always been an important part of my life, whether I was writing stories about them or drawing them as a child, or caring for my many pets throughout the years. My love for animals stems from a profound belief in compassion and the transformative power of animal companionship, which nurtures both animals and the human spirit.
Hailing from the land of 10,000 lakes, I grew up in a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota, and went on to pursue a degree in graphic design at Iowa State University. With a love of learning, I pursued continued education in digital marketing and product strategy through Northwestern Kellogg, learning UI/UX design along the way.
I’ve been fortunate to live in vibrant cities across the country over the years, but Iowa has always felt like home since my days at Iowa State. I have since found my heart anchored here in Des Moines, where I enjoy life with my son and our menagerie of furry companions.
In my spare time, my love for animals has further taken shape through volunteering at my local animal shelter, fostering kittens, and writing and illustrating my next children’s books.
